Inside the Art

Inspired by time spent in the wild, these creative works are shaped by observation, intuition and a deep reverence for the natural world. Photography, field sketching, storytelling and research all form part of the creative process, allowing each piece to emerge from lived experience.

Much of my work explores themes of adaptation, memory, empathy and renewal, while quietly reflecting the familiar threads shared between humans and animals. An elephant calf presenting a stick to capture its mother’s attention reminds us of the small moments that reveal tenderness, playfulness - but also the demands of daily life attempting to distract us from our own child(ren).

The Wildfireblooms was created where art and nature intersect, where creativity becomes a way of paying closer attention.

My projects begin in the field - through photographing wildlife, sketching, cross-referencing field guides and quietly observing animals in their natural habitat. These experiences continue to shape future works and deepen an ongoing commitment to conservation.
